Latest document loaded is shown above - prepared 10th April 2011, the dates for the Eco-Festival are as yet to be confirmed.
The YouTube video shown below, introduces my Eco-Design proposals to make Grove Farm Dairy, Hollesley Bay, Suffolk, UK, totally sustainable (proposals are replicable, inclusive & ethical).
Keith Jefferson-Smith keeps Grove Farm's doors "Open" to all who wish to learn how to tend food organically (without any chemicals), and was an Lecturer in Agriculture for over 20 years for Aylesbury College - before starting the first Organic Dairy in Scotland.
N.B. After speaking with Keith on Sunday 5th December, we now only have a 3 week window left to get their situation resolved.
Please see the video below for more information on our sustainable, ecological & ethical proposals for this project - which are ultimately replicable, anywhere.
Ark Project "ONE" sketch proposals:-
The above presentation is being used to show Suffolk Coastal (Local Authority) Development Control officers our sketch scheme for these proposals - which are now a matter of dire EMERGENCY. All new buildings proposed will be removed, and we have:
Proven Need - Financially, the farm is completely unsustainable - even though it is Organic & Ethical (+ my own, working as a social entrepreneur for two-and-a-half years, while living in "Unaffordable" housing - as a self-employed lone parent, and survivor, with three dependents - I have proven NEED to live for free to match my income - which is as unsustainable as the farm itself, after I lost my affordable sustainable privately rented house in 2006, with 2 weeks to homelessness with 3 children, I only moved here temporarily and have been trying to move out ever since I got here - rent hike of 275%!) - Linda Beamish, Eco-Architectural Design Consultant AND social entrepreneur.
(N.B. 'Social Entrepreneur' is the title given to the founder of their own eco-community. Without having a site for a community, there are NO earnings at all, no seed-funding available AND no expenses covered. This situation was created by following the planning guidelines. If a person offers to help others by their showcase & available employment + affordable, or free housing as shown above, this is defined as a 'Social Enterprise' - which makes an eco-architectural designer a 'social entrepreneur'. No grant schemes are available until an eco-village/community has a piece of land.)
Global Ark Project "ONE" is an "Exemplar of Sustainable Design" - with proven, 'tried & tested" eco-designs of ZERO negative impact - which can be removed when needed. Grove Farm has a total of 600 acres (owned + rented) - which is right next to The North Sea.
As all proposed construction here is "surface fixed", proposals are ultimately sustainable AND replicable - anywhere.
Please leave your feedback on these proposals, it would be really good to hear from you. Contact: /news--contact.html
Thank you for your time. Linda Beamish, Founder. (NPD)
(N.B. Please note that all proposals shown are ECO-Designed, which WE deem to be "Architecturally Designed Naturally" - and we recommend zero cement/plastics/chemical usage - using only the barest minimal to qualify for Building Regulations. Each ton of cement manufactured equates to one ton of Carbon Dioxide emissions. New "ECO" designs which are constructed using bricks, concrete blocks, concrete strip or trench footings - etc, are NOT Eco just because they use renewable energy - this classification should be deemed "SUSTAINABLE" - which is the Barest minimal reduction on the over-demand of Earth's resources (currently advised to be of 1.4 world's. Research shown by SEI Reap Report a few years ago found 1.2 worlds were 'consumed'.)
OUR proposals are for ZERO impact + "Carbon SINKs" + re-usable manufactured elements - windows, doors, renewable technologies and communications equipment.
We will either be able to move ALL the equipment when the sea levels rise as shown in Ark Project "ONE" above, or leave the adobe/straw bale, and Earth structures to go back into the ground whence they came - creating zero chemicals for the land to recover and heal quickly after 'us'.
Replicable, inclusive proposals which are designed to cope with the effects of climate change, including a sea level rise which is
predicted to be at least 20 feet in 50 years.
(How many traditional investors would back any construction in a "High Risk Flood Zone" - if their money was about to be engulfed by the sea? - And how many insurance companies can cope with continual claims for 'flood repairs' - or would ensure any new buildings in this area? - We NEED to allocate temporary designs - and are asking for either a "Community Right to Build" - or a Section 106 Agreement. Grove Farm Dairy just got 1800 new customers for their Raw Jersey Milk - with vast sums of money going to rent an extra 300 acres to accommodate the extra herd needed to supply this demand, it is imperitive that we make them sustainable NOW.)

Both the projects above and below hope to use the anaerobic generator - which is tailor-made to suit each situation, and is without doubt the most viable solution I have found in these situations. Alternative Transport plan too, and suppliers happy to have eco-ethical rating.
Most excellent 3D walk around my eco-design for Market House, Tuesday Market Place, King's Lynn below, was prepared by my friend RIchard Smith, of RIchard Smith Architects Ltd http://www.richarch.com - with copyright protected for my friends & paying clients, Howard & Jill Leftley. Linda Beamish, Eco-Ark' Design Consultant.
UPDATE (15th February, 2011):
Plans for this Ecological Extension WERE approved by The Local Authority, Conservation & English Heritage - January 2011!!
Met with the clients week ending 11th February 2011, and have now received instruction to start organising partnering meetings, in order to determine the cost & terms of this construction.
(Further updates will be posted as these progress.)

N.B. This page is being used as a document holder while these proposals are being considered. As soon as possible, the above documents - and all others associated with http://www.eco-designs.co.uk will be loaded upon that website, leaving this website free to show all the most viable and feasible ecological architectural designs, designers & non-profit organisations found during my last 2 years (& Lifetime) of research & social network building.
