Office Extension & Alterations
The client's brief for this project was initially:
The original proposals were for a very large glazed extension at first and second floors, which would cover the car park, but these proposals were refined and reduced in size after our first consultation with the Conservation Advisor.
The revised plans were presented to the Conservation Advisory Panel, and the subsequent re-worked proposals have just been submitted to the Local Authority for approval.
We will provide detailed drawings to this website shortly, and detail the timber frame, the steel frame and the glazed curtain walling systems to be installed.
Renewable energy will provide heating, and rainwater will be harvested.
- To provide his tenants' with the office facilities which they needed to accommodate 25 permanent staff.
- The original building is of Grade 2 listing, and any alterations would need to be made in sympathy to the building and those adjacent.
- The extension was to be light and airy.
