This website is created to provide you with a window to a huge array of proven eco-architecutural (and ethical) design solutions.
As eco-design consultants, we can provide you with a service that will match your architectural design requirement with a solution which is viable, practical and available.
If you'd like to know how to build your own home in the United Kingdom for as little as £3000 - or how to earn money from your septic tank, we can show or tell you who has a design to help you, and will find you help and training if you need it.
We have listed lots of brilliant eco-designs here on the website, and have put some brilliant 'YouTube' films over pages here for you to see how you can live without making any more impact on the planet. (See tabs for construction materials.)
If you'd like to start living ecologically, but feel that 'the good life' is out of your price range, you might like to hear about the potential which"Parish Exception Sites" or "Community Right to Build" would allow you.
Community Land Trusts, Ethical Banks & Building Societies, and community centres through redundant buildings, schools or churches in your area which can provide needed employment.
We have also networks with award winning architects, and have some cutting edge ecological & sustainable designs to show you.

(A 'Social Enterprise', formed of our own eco-designed community - trying to find asset land to form a Community Land Trust. We will be offering you an 'on-site' service as soon as we can at the eco-resort we will build ourselves, and will be offering you training on site as we do so.)
We also aim to have franchises - such as renewable energy suppliers on our site, where you will be able to buy a small wind generator, LED lights, and we will also showcase all that is 'local & good' in the area.
Eco-Architectural designs will be available "off the shelf" for you to buy - with a full back up service, and will have energy consultants, structural engineers and project managers to help you.
The aim of ark projects is to help people live sustainably, and to show the work of environmental scientists.
Global Ark Projects is a networking hub where everyone can find the links. Global Ark Projects re-distributes all the net profits earned through communities showing the Ark directory, back to form more eco-community resorts - in all things, we will also be supporting permaculture.

The Ark Portal of Innovations* is designed to allow people the opportunity of having a platform to show their own eco or sustainable design solution - especially to networked schools - who could win school funding through the competition process!! (The platform would not be exclusive.) - Fast tracking sustainable and ecological design, invention, or inspiration.
It would also allow for a manufacture to buy a design with pre-orders, and save lost investments & landfill.
TAPOI (acronym of the above*), means respectful tourism in Maori (pdf/link of their explanation for the meaning in full be loaded on here shortly) - Linda Beamish, Founder, is currently working on proposals for several eco-resorts to support participatory eco-tourism, and WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms).
The reason for forming Global Ark Projects, was that there was no funding to form any of the above, Linda had to try to fill the gap because so many people wanted to live ecologically and/or sustainably, but had no funding - and, by personal experience, Linda found that there were hardly any ethical investors for an ecological design which offered global inclusion.
An ecological study looks at a bio-system, what ever the size. A good ecological design studies the level of impact, and a good eco-architectural design would make a positive impact on the surrounding area - if there was proven to be a negative environmental condition of that site, or any site at all.
