Although forming Eco-Designs in 2004, it was over four years before the first two ecological design projects came in.

The photographs and plans shown in the portfolio, illustrate previous design projects which, although mainly of traditional construction, include recycled and reclaimed materials, renewable and sustainable heating systems and alternative construction materials which were included in the designs wherever possible.


Working with our clients to provide them with the alterations, extensions and new homes which they need, and which provide them with the satisfaction of knowing that their dreams have been realised.

What the research proved was that the use of cement and concrete can no longer be condoned.
 
Every ton of cement manufactured equates to one ton of CO2 emitted.  Although some people may still doubt the cause of climate change, the amount of energy used in the manufacture of cement, concrete, and blockwork is furthering the over-demand of Earth's resources.


The change-over to eco-designs could not be completed quickly enough!
