Eco-Designs Network

Have you ever wished you had a shop window online to display your original design solution?
You have now:

The public entering their own original sustainable designs to the Ark Portal of Innovations need to consider the following:-

Energy capture in:
  • Manufacture
  • Use
  • Distribution

Environment and climate:
  • Carbon dioxide and/or other contaminating waste emission
  • Ecological balance
  • Renewable or innovative materials

Feasibility:
  • Innovative and sustainable product, concept or service
  • Ergonomics and usability
  • Economically viable to manufacture and/or service
  • Local workshops minimising transport and distribution

They will need to show that they recognise and understand global resources and current over-demand, waste, packaging and consider the product’s end-of-life:
  • Is the product Recyclable?
  • Is the product Re-usable?

Submitted designs, concepts or services will need to be viable, innovative, and have a ‘proven’ need or market sector, and show understanding for, and consideration of, carbon neutrality.

In order to comply with the criteria detailed above, individual or team entries will need to consult with a specialist, or research the researchers findings online.

Permitted published research papers detailing climate change, contributing factors, current findings and predictions, together with the answers to any of the competitors questions, will be shown on The Ark Portal of Innovations' website.

The general public will be invited to view the submissions via the website, to form a consensus based upon their demand for the innovative designs submitted, and their relevance to the latest climate findings as published online.

Winning entries will have a known market based upon the public's consensus. With submitters approval, Global Ark Project's will auction the submission to the ethical and environmental business sectors.

Winning bids will receive the design and market research, and the research and development facilities of the research establishments Global Ark Projects has cooperatively linked with. Marketing package could also be developed through the partnership formed between the bid winner, Global Ark Projects and the winning entrant.

Forming collaborative and cooperative partnering will provide a continuous funding source for all concerned through Global Ark Projects redistribution of net profits. The information and educational materials shared, will empower those currently excluded, and help to give children the opportunity of A tomorrow, which they have helped to balance themselves.

Consensual feedback will be sought from all parties at feasibility, submission and completion stages, ensuring that any excluded factors become included in the developing and facilitating schemes running onwards from the sustainable exemplar of this school challenge.

The exhibitions and promotions which these presentations provide, will open the doors to all others with sustainable design innovations, and increase the potential for all to combine their resources to the benefit of the people who understand their reliance on this planet.

The public engaged in comparing the submissions will have the opportunity to consider the climate research and predictions published on Global Ark Projects website, which in turn, will highlight the crucially important environmental research of the currently available, clarifying the need for ethical and environmental understanding.

Empowering the children who will inherit the climate of tomorrow, and enabling them to gain knowledge on the sustainable considerations which will need to be included in any innovative proposal they submit to this challenge.

United Nations Agenda 21, 1992 and the Brundtland Report 1987 both initiated empowerment through education and information sharing. The concerned public has had access to much research and findings through the internet, and many concerned parents wish to make a difference to the predictions.

Many people are unable to further their own innovations through the existing patent processes, currently needing thousands of pound in self-investment and many years in processing. With sea levels due to rise over 20' in less than 50 years, the doors to sustainable designs and innovations need to be opened to everyone, everywhere.

Caring and concerned parents have the opportunity of making a difference to climate predictions.

Understanding the effects of climate change which they are likely to encounter themselves if there is not:
  1. Immediate replanting of this planet's natural bio-diversity, especially trees
  2. The emergence of affordable innovative concepts which will provide shelter, power and habitat for over ten years of solar winter

Global Ark Projects will launch a global consensus on climate change and recognition as the not-for-profit networking hub which will act as a consultancy and facilitator to propagate regenerative sustainable community living projects, offering affordable eco-homes to those willing to work on Earth regeneration projects

An ethical or environmental organisation or company can purchase the project's sustainable design/s knowing that it will help to provide affordable eco-housing through Global Ark Projects non-profit redistribution

The manufactured end product will have an assured market through the global consensus of Ark's climatically concerned membership, and be promoted by sustainable community living project's consultants across the country

A potential cooperative or collaborative project would offer the environmental and/or ethical sector purchasing the designs a comprehensive, tailor-made, supporting package:

University Research & Development

Business support services

Marketing & Film opportunities

Legal & Contractual services

Global Ark Market Research/Consensus

Specifically recognised & promoted directory listing

Networked consultants, distributors and/or showroom facilities

Design submission entrants gain remuneration, initial purchase share and possible commissions.

University or research establishment earns income for further environmental research, through services and potential commissions.

Global Ark Projects redistributes commissions to support those needing affordable cooperative eco-housing, other non-profit distributors, NGO's, and charities, including the following sectors:
  • Water for all
  • Education for all
  • Sustainable design and living
  • Earth regeneration projects

Irrigation projects through desalination, with sustainable community industry trading extracted salt-water minerals (ranging from table salt to lithium used in batteries needed to store solar energy)

Progress reports and evaluation will be made at each stage of the project/s. Meetings will be held to discuss overall progress when needed, and ensure that all partners are content with the progress.

Problems and snags at any stage will be discussed by all forming the partnership as they arise, and a consensus will allow that all parties concerns are resolved to the benefit of those parties concerned.

Entries will be published via websites and the local press

Global Ark Projects operates in open transparency. All reports and progress will be documented via The Ark Portal of Innovations website, and networks.

The Ark Portal of Innovations intends to highlight the value of sharing knowledge and information to produce the innovations and potent solutions latent in all, offering the inclusive and empowering facilitations and options which humanity needs in order to both survive climate change, and reduce impact on planet resources.

The Ark Portal of Innovations offers a permanent virtual window for the public's submissions of sustainable design. Fast-tracking the innovations needed to allow the inclusive evolutionary changes needed to ethically sustain humanity.

Any conceptually innovative services will need to show a level of understanding of proven need, environmental balance, and the overall benefit which people will gain using the submitted feasible service.

A covenant will protect the intellectual property rights of entries at this public viewing stage. The local community will be able to view the entries online and form their own consensus via the website, providing the market research for the feasibility stage of the competition.

The winning entries will be auctioned to the environmental and ethical sectors cooperatively linked with Global Ark Projects through the Ark Directory.

Any winning bid will offer potential income for those forming this collaboration, through commissions, increasing the opportunities for all to live sustainably, affordably, in an ecologically balanced regenerative, networked and informed community.

This pilot scheme will be expanded to form a continuous opportunity for all to gain access to the environmental information which will empower them to both work on Earth's regeneration, and provide the opportunity for all to consider their own sustainable design innovations. Giving rise to a non-profit distributions network which has global greening capacity, and self-sustainable financial supporting mechanism through all those concerned with the effects of climate change, and the future of all children.
